Description
Powerful Thinking is a not-for-profit Industry initiative which aims to contribute to festival industry becoming a truly inspirational and sustainable sector by significantly reducing the carbon footprint . We believe there is a huge opportunity, already being taken by some festivals and organisations, to reduce environmental impacts and harness communications with our audiences for positive change. Powerful Thinking will act a catalyst in this process, generating and supporting research, providing advise and sharing best practice, and driving change through public debate, solution-finding and industry communications.
The initiative has been founded and seed funded by the founder steering group members, Bestival, Festival Republic, Julies Bicycle, Kambe Events (Shambala), the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), Firefly Solar and A Greener Festival.
