Midas is an independently owned and operated power solutions provider. Established in 2000 and working at the beginning solely in the entertainment industry Midas supply total power solutions for events, concerts, festivals and live broadcast nationwide. Over the years the business has developed into other demanding power sectors to include off-shore, civil engineering and agriculture. Midas is also a Premier Dealer for the generator manufacturing giant Himoinsa.

We have a large and expanding rental fleet which includes Stage IIIA engines from Yanmar, Kohler, JCB and Ivecco. All machines are controlled by the industry leading Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) control systems which offers the latest in Monitoring, complex load sharing & synchronising control technology.

Through 20 years of experience of owning our own fleet of machines and working within the entertainment industry we understand how the industry works and the demands placed upon power companies within it. We talk to all end users of our power systems to understand exactly what they want, and not necessarily what they ask for. Taking simple steps such as this ensures the right size machine is allocated to the right task in hand and in turn run as efficiently as possible, saving emissions and cost both in hire, transport and fuel.

We monitor & record real time power consumption during an event and during break and build. Depending on which brand of machine, all our JCB gen sets have JCBs remote monitoring ‘Livelink’ installed, which records many parameters of the machine and output, both in real time and also stored for use later. Brands other than JCB have a plug-in in the back of the DSE panel, which records very similar to the above.

We report on Fuel consumption, Generator running hours, kWhs produced per litre of fuel consumed, CO2 reductions &NOx reductions.
